ABOUT
"The Lost Year" is a reading experience that takes advantage of the possibilities of digital storytelling. It is based on the question of what effect can be achieved when a seemingly linear story is given a digital extension.
In addition to writing a short coming of age novel for young adults, this project dealt with non-linearity in literature and the interaction of the reader with the device.
Additionally, the potential of the medium was exploited through illustrated and animated scenes.

The story
In the year 2039, Lisa, the protagonist, finds clues to inconsistencies in the past through several coincidences. After long research and many incidents, she comes to what seems to her to be the only logical conclusion: the year 2020 has been repeated and no one is allowed to talk about the original year - the lost year.
